Rami Hindieh’s career has been focused around leveraging new and existing technologies around utilizing data to deliver business value, improve operational efficiencies, increase revenue generation, and enhancing customer experiences in rapidly changing industries. He is a recognized leader in building relationships with clients at the forefront of innovation and has successfully tailored solutions to enable innovation at many of Canada’s largest institutions.
At present, Rami is the Head of Data and Business Intelligence at PWL Capital where he is accountable to all aspects of data management, ensuring data integrity as well as the strategic development of Business Intelligence capabilities to generate insights to support the firm’s evidence based investment focus to manage over $6bn in assets.
Other roles Rami has been in include an Assistant Director at the Workplace and Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) where his responsibilities are around ensuring the organization’s data is managed and governed in a manner that will enable the organization to generate valuable insights and analytics with trusted quality data. Prior to this role, Rami was an Associate Director of Enterprise Data Management at Toronto Pearson International Airport, with key accountabilities focused on positioning Canada’s largest and busiest Airport to become a data centric driven operation by rationalizing information, processes, applications, systems, and people across multiple business lines and IT functions. He championed and led in the design and execution of the Enterprise Data Strategy and ensured that the airport is aligned to the latest trends in leveraging data as a key asset.
Earlier in his career, Rami built his passion for strategy and innovation at various leadership roles he held in corporate banking at major financial institutions in Canada with data focused mandates that included work in digitization, automation, structuring and standardizing entire organization’s Master Reference data, Anti Money Laundering, and regulatory based financial liquidity assessment and reporting.
Rami is actively involved on various committees and boards which include the Blockchain Research Taskforce at York University, Terrapinn’s Advisory Board on matters related to aviation, as well as the Environmental Strategic Plan committee for the town of Oakville.
Rami is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and holds two degrees, a Master of Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Engineering, both from Queen’s University in Canada.
