I discussed from a research standpoint the baggage journey in aviation leveraging Blockchain, from the point of induction, to security and sortation, to loading the bag into the aircraft at departure and arrival. – Can the airports keep the passenger informed of where and when their bag is at any given time using Blockchain? – Can Blockchain help reduce the incidence of lost bags by keeping better track of the baggage? – Can we free up the passenger wait times at baggage arrival carousels and turn it into an opportunity to visit the inbound duty free shops using information made available through Blockchain?
